My favorite piece, this night table puts to use a gorgeous piece of quilted maple and is accented by rosewood handles and brass pins. In order to convey a lighter feel for a bedside table, the sides of this piece are left open and one views the side of each drawer as well as the walnut rails on which those drawers slide.

To make the most out of a stunningly figured piece of maple, the wood was re-sawed and veneered onto a maple substrate. As a result, each drawer has a similar pattern and figure to the next, with subtle differences that were present within that original piece of maple.

Rosewood handles add a warm touch to each drawer-front, as do the brass pins that were used to attach them to the drawers as well as to strengthen the drawer construction itself.
